BRT In The Bronx

New York has just described the design of its first BRT project, which will be in the Bronx and will feature:

• Prepayment of fares.
• Boarding at front and back doors
• Fewer stops
• Transit Signal Priority
• Terracotta colored bus lanes, with stepped up enforcement to keep cars out

Many similar BRT lines will be implemented through the city if congestion pricing is adopted.
